Badaling Great Wall, Tiananmen Square & Forbidden City Private Day Tour
Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel at 8am to start an unforgettable trip to the Great Wall. Only 60 miles from the center of Beijing, Badaling Great Wall is famous for its pristine preservation and breathtaking views. Standing at the highest point, about 800 meters above sea level, you can get a bird’s eye view of the surrounding spectacular scenery – taking a cable car is the best way to enjoy the magnificent view. Spend two hours exploring this iconic symbol of ancient Chinese fortification.
Before lunch, we will visit a jade carving factory, which takes 45 minutes. Jade carving is a highly respected local craft, and its exquisite designs cleverly integrate Chinese cultural traditions – this is a great opportunity to appreciate this art firsthand.
You can enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch at a local restaurant and taste the delightful authentic flavors.
Next, we will drive 1.5 hours to Tiananmen Square. It is the largest square in the world and the heart of modern China. This iconic building symbolizes the People’s Republic of China and is surrounded by many historical sites. A brief half-hour tour of the square will give you an idea of its importance.
Continuing our adventure, we’ll walk to the Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum, a marvel of ancient imperial architecture and the largest surviving imperial building in China. Spend some time exploring this magnificent complex and soaking up its rich history and cultural heritage.
At the end of your tour, we’ll drop you off at your hotel, ensuring your day of exploration is comfortable and memorable.
