Badaling Great Wall & LongQing Gorge Day Tour
Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby at 7:30 AM, ready to take you on an unforgettable adventure.
First Stop: Badaling Great Wall On the way to the Great Wall, we will briefly visit the Jade Carving Factory. This famous local specialty jade carving factory showcases exquisite craftsmanship, perfectly integrating Chinese tradition and culture in each jade artwork. After a short stop, we will continue our drive to Badaling Great Wall, the most famous and best-preserved section of the Great Wall. You will spend two hours exploring this iconic landmark. Standing at the highest point, about 800 meters above sea level, you will be mesmerized by the breathtaking view. For a more spectacular experience, you can consider taking a cable car to get a bird’s-eye view of the Great Wall and its surroundings (optional).
Traditional Chinese Dishes After touring the Great Wall, we will enjoy a delicious traditional Chinese lunch at a local restaurant.
Next, we will head to Longqing Gorge, which is located 10 kilometers northeast of Yanqing. Longqing Gorge, known as the “Little Li River outside the Great Wall” and the “Little Three Gorges of China”, is one of Beijing’s popular tourist attractions. Covering an area of 119 square kilometers, Longqing Gorge features stunning landscapes, including the largest dam in northern China – a concrete wonder that is more than 70 meters high. In summer, you can enjoy cascading waterfalls, and in winter, the spectacular icefalls are breathtaking. On the return trip, if time permits, we will stop to experience the rich silk culture, appreciate traditional Chinese silk artworks, and purchase exquisite silk products.
After a day of wonderful attractions and cultural experiences, we will send you back to the hotel.
