Beijing Old Hutong Private Half Day Tour
Our friendly guide will meet you at your hotel at 8am or 1pm, ready to take you on a fascinating journey to explore Beijing’s historic Shichahai area. Shichahai consists of three beautiful lakes, Qianhai, Houhai and Xihai, covering an area of approximately 146.7 hectares, of which 33.6 hectares are tranquil waters. This area is rich in history, with more than 40 cultural heritage sites and was once home to 30 royal palaces, temples and nunneries. It is also one of the best-preserved hutong neighborhoods in Beijing.
We invite you to take a rickshaw ride through the narrow hutong alleys and experience the charm of old Beijing. While strolling through these historic alleys, you will visit a traditional courtyard house and experience the lifestyle of the locals. In addition, a visit to the Drum Tower will also be part of the itinerary, giving you an in-depth understanding of the history and culture of this vibrant area.
To end this experience, we will stop at a traditional Chinese teahouse, where you can enjoy tea tasting and learn about the rich heritage of Chinese tea culture.
After the tour, we will comfortably transfer you back to your hotel, ensuring you have a pleasant and memorable day.
