Itinerary Quick Look:
Temple of Heaven and Beijing Hutong Private Day Tour
We will pick you up from your hotel and head to the Temple of Heaven, located in southern Beijing. This magnificent complex, with its deep blue glazed tile roof and white marble base, contains an ancient cosmological view. The number and layout of each stone slab on the base are carefully designed according to the principles of Chinese cosmology, and the nine layers symbolize heaven.
Afterwards, you will have 20 minutes to appreciate China’s historic silk art. Silk is one of the most exquisite fabrics and is highly respected in China for its luxurious texture and appearance.
After a delicious lunch, we will take you to the historic Hutong. These narrow streets and alleys are called “Hutongs”, and their name comes from the Mongolian word for “well”. They are a unique component of Beijing’s traditional neighborhoods. With the rapid modernization of the city, many Hutongs have been replaced by high-rise buildings, so it is particularly important to experience these relics of Beijing’s cultural heritage. Finally, we will send you back to your hotel.
