Lama Temple, Summer Palace & Beijing Zoo Private Day Tour
Your unforgettable tour begins with a convenient hotel pick-up (8am). Our first stop is the iconic Lama Temple, a famous Lama temple in the northeast of old Beijing. Once the residence of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty, the temple houses a giant standing Buddha carved from a single piece of sandalwood, standing 26 meters (86 feet) tall.
Next, we drive 50 minutes to the Summer Palace, the best-preserved imperial garden in the world. This stunning garden is known for its perfect blend of natural scenery and architectural masterpieces such as the Long Corridor and the Marble Boat. You will have 1 hour and 20 minutes to explore and marvel at its magnificence.
Before lunch, you can spend 20 minutes visiting a Chinese pearl factory. Pearls are the oldest known gemstones and have symbolized perfection since ancient times. Discover the amazing process of pearl cultivation and admire exquisite pearl jewelry.
Enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch at a restaurant near the Summer Palace before heading to the Beijing Zoo. Here you’ll meet the zoo’s most famous residents – the giant pandas! These adorable animals, which look like a cross between a bear and a cat but are actually more closely related to raccoons, will fascinate you.
After a day full of exploration and discovery, we’ll drop you off at your hotel.
