Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and Beijing Hutong Private Day Tour
Your day of exploration will begin at 8:00 AM when our guide and driver will warmly greet you in the hotel lobby. We will first visit Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest public square. Here, you will have approximately 30 minutes to stroll and soak up the history and culture of this iconic building.
Next, we head directly to the Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum. This magnificent building is the largest and best-preserved ancient royal residence in China. You will tour along the Forbidden City’s central axis, from south to north, taking in its magnificent architecture in two hours.
After lunch, we will take you to the historic Beijing Hutong district, strolling through the narrow streets and alleys known as “Hutongs”. The word “Hutong” originates from the Mongolian word for “well”, and today refers to these unique neighborhoods. As Beijing rapidly modernizes, many Hutongs are being replaced by modern buildings, making this visit a special opportunity to learn about the city’s traditional life and culture. Hutongs are an important part of Beijing’s cultural heritage and provide a window into the city’s rich history.
Finally, we’ll drop you off at your hotel, ensuring you have a comfortable and smooth end to your day of exploration.
