Badaling Great Wall & Summer Palace Private Day Tour
Our guide and driver will pick you up at 8am in the morning at the hotel lobby, ready to take you on an unforgettable adventure. We will drive 1.5 hours along the scenic route to the Badaling Great Wall. The Badaling Great Wall is the most iconic section of the Great Wall and a national cultural treasure protected by the State Council since 1961. Here, you can choose to take a cable car to the highest point and get a bird’s eye view of the majestic scenery (optional). Spend a few hours exploring this wonder of ancient engineering, walking along the well-preserved trails and feeling the rich history contained in each stone.
Before lunch, we will stop at Fulaide Yongsheng Jade Carving Factory for 20 minutes. Jade carving is a famous Chinese art form that combines exquisite craftsmanship with profound cultural heritage. You can witness the exquisite craftsmanship firsthand, admire the exquisite works, and even pick up a unique souvenir.
After a traditional Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, we will return to Beijing and visit the Summer Palace. Known as the “Garden of Harmony”, the Summer Palace was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in December 1998. It is hailed as a masterpiece of Chinese garden design, combining the beauty of nature with the beauty of architecture. Explore the harmonious unity of mountains, water features, pavilions, palaces, temples, and bridges that make the Summer Palace so beautiful.
After this enriching experience, we will transfer you back to your hotel, ensuring that you end the day with fond memories of Beijing’s historical and cultural treasures.
