Travel Itinerary
Your private guide will be waiting for you at the airport arrival hall or hotel lobby. A comfortable vehicle (non-smoking) with an experienced driver will take you to explore Shanghai.
You will first visit the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, where you will learn about Shanghai’s urban design and your guide will introduce Shanghai’s past, present and future.
After lunch, stroll along the Bund where you will learn about Shanghai’s rise. Your guide will take you to visit historical buildings, where you can touch ancient objects and he/she will tell you stories about their past.
Wander through the alleys and learn about the lifestyle of locals. Your guide will take you to a famous local restaurant to taste the most typical snack in Shanghai – Xiaolongbao (steamed buns). Learn the right way to eat them, otherwise you will burn your mouth!
Take a public ferry like a local, cross the Huangpu River, blend in with the crowd, and slowly travel from Old Shanghai to Shanghai Pudong New Area.
Take the world’s fastest elevator to Shanghai’s tallest building – Shanghai Tower, overlooking the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and a bird’s eye view of the entire city.
Today you will get a glimpse into the future and learn about the latest developments in China.
Visit DJI Innovations to learn how Shanghai has become a fertile ground for China’s independent entrepreneurial industry and learn about the success and cutting-edge technology of this Chinese unicorn.
Afterwards, head to the world’s largest Starbucks, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, where you can watch an animated version of the coffee bean machine on your phone and virtually see them in their state before being transported through copper pipes to the cafe.
Have lunch at the New Retail Supermarket and see how robots deliver food.
At the end of the day, we will escort you to the Shanghai airport or train station of your choice.

- Any city not included in the existing tour package can be added to this tour and taken as an addition to this Private tour.
- Entering and exiting China from Hong Kong and Taipei are also available.
- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.
Important information – SMALL GROUP TOUR
- This is a small group tour with a fixed itinerary and guaranteed departures.
You will travel with other people (maximum of 12). - Smart casual dress and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- The tour guide may adjust the itinerary due to closure of the museums each Monday.
- At the conclusion of the tour, a transfer from your hotel to Hongqiao or Pudong Airport in Shanghai is available upon request at a surcharge.
- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.
