Travel Itinerary
Your private guide will be waiting for you at the airport arrival hall or hotel lobby. A comfortable vehicle (non-smoking) with an experienced driver will take you to explore Shanghai.
Visit Yu Garden, an exquisite classical garden hidden among high-rise buildings. You will hear interesting stories about its former owner and learn why its dragon wall almost killed its former owner.
Stroll along the Bund and you will understand the rise of Shanghai. Your guide will take you to visit historical buildings, you can touch ancient objects, and your guide will tell you stories about the past of these buildings.
Wander through the alleys and learn about the lifestyle of locals. Your guide will take you to a famous local restaurant to taste the most typical snack in Shanghai – Xiaolongbao. Learn the right way to eat it, otherwise you will burn your mouth!
Take a public ferry like a local, cross the Huangpu River amidst the crowds, and slowly travel from Old Shanghai to Shanghai Pudong New Area.
Take the world’s fastest elevator to the top of Shanghai’s tallest building – Shanghai Tower, overlooking the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and a bird’s eye view of the whole Shanghai.
Walk through the former French Concession as your guide tells you stories of architecture and colonial history. Walk through stylish buildings built a hundred years ago and try to spot a famous building.
Next, your guide will take you to a hidden art treasure – the Propaganda Poster Art Center. There, you will find exaggerated posters documenting the history of the Mao era, and your curiosity about communism will be satisfied.
Enjoy a leisurely afternoon in Zhujiajiao Water Village. Walk across small bridges, stroll along the river, and relax on a rowboat. This beautiful town will make you forget that you are in a big city.
After visiting Zhujiajiao Water Village, your guide and driver will accompany you to the airport or train station and wave goodbye.

Optional tours to Suzhou, Hangzhou or nearby Watertown, and other destinations are also available. - Any city not included in the existing tour package can be added to this tour and taken as an addition to this Private tour.
- Entering and exiting China from Hong Kong and Taipei are also available.
- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.

- This is a small group tour with a fixed itinerary and guaranteed departures.
You will travel with other people (maximum of 12). - Smart casual dress and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- The tour guide may adjust the itinerary due to closure of the museums each Monday.
- At the conclusion of the tour, a transfer from your hotel to Hongqiao or Pudong Airport in Shanghai is available upon request at a surcharge.
- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.
