Zhujiajiao Town, located in the central-southern part of Qingpu District in western Shanghai, lies adjacent to the Dianshan Lake Scenic Area. It is bounded to the east by the Xidaying waterway (which serves as a boundary for the town’s perimeter), while to the west, it faces the Dianshan Lake and the Daguan Garden Scenic Area across the water. To the south, it borders the former Shenxiang Town (which was merged into Zhujiajiao in 2001), and to the north, it shares a border with Dianshanhu Town in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province. On October 14, 2016, Zhujiajiao Town was designated by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development as one of the first "Chinese Characteristic Towns." On May 24, 2018, it was named one of the "Top 50 Most Beautiful Characteristic Towns."
