Located in the Haidian District of Beijing, China, the Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan) Ruins Park comprises three gardens—Yuanmingyuan, Changchunyuan, and Qichunyuan—covering an area of approximately 350 hectares. Construction began during the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty; over the course of more than 150 years, six successive emperors—Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong, Jiaqing, Daoguang, and Xianfeng—contributed to its development, earning it the reputation as the "Garden of All Gardens." In 1860, the complex was looted and burned by the Anglo-French Allied Forces, leaving it in ruins. Today, it is designated as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level and serves as a demonstration base for patriotic education, remaining open to the public.
