Located on the border of Yushan County and Dexing City in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province, China, Mount Sanqing (Sanqingshan) derives its name from its three towering peaks—Yujing, Yuxu, and Yuhua—which resemble the three supreme deities of the Taoist pantheon (Yuqing, Shangqing, and Taiqing) seated atop the mountain. Beyond its status as a renowned Taoist site, the mountain is recognized by UNESCO as both a World Natural Heritage site and a Global Geopark. Mount Sanqing is world-renowned for its dense and diverse granite landforms. Historically, it has been hailed as an "unparalleled blessed land" and the "foremost immortal peak in the Jiangnan region," offering a landscape that combines the majesty of Mount Tai, the precipitous cliffs of Mount Hua, and the cascading waterfalls of Mount Lu (Kuanglu).
