Juyongguan Pass—also known as Junduguan or Jimenguan—is a mountain pass located along the Inner Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. Situated within Nankou Town in Beijing’s Changping District, it has served as a vital thoroughfare since the Qin Dynasty. As one of the most renowned and historic passes along the Great Wall, it—together with Zijingguan and Daomaguan—is collectively known as the "Three Inner Passes" of the Ming Great Wall. Originally established as a frontier outpost called "Juyong Sai," the site was later integrated into the Great Wall during the Northern Wei and Northern Qi dynasties, when the wall was extended to connect with the fortress, transforming it into a key gateway.
In 1982, Juyongguan Pass was incorporated into the Badaling-Ming Tombs National Scenic Area. Following restoration and development efforts that began in March 1993, it has become a prominent historical and cultural tourist destination. In 2001, the Juyongguan section of the Great Wall was designated a "National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction."
