Huangguoshu Waterfall is hailed as the "largest waterfall in Asia." Although its primary cascade—when measured by flow volume and width—is surpassed by the Khone Phapheng Falls in Laos, and even within China, it ranks behind the Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River in terms of flow and the Detian Waterfall in Guangxi in terms of width, it remains renowned both domestically and internationally for its magnificent, awe-inspiring main cascade and its dense, interconnected cluster of waterfalls. It is widely celebrated as "China’s premier waterfall." The waterfall group comprises 18 cascades of varying sizes, each possessing its own distinct character—ranging from the majestic and the extraordinary to the precipitous and the delicate—forming a vast "family" of waterfalls. This collection has been recognized by the Guinness World Records headquarters as the largest waterfall group in the world. Among them, the Great Huangguoshu Waterfall stands out as the most spectacular of the entire group.
