The Chongqing Yangtze River Cableway is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, often hailed as the first "aerial corridor" across the Yangtze River and affectionately dubbed the "local airplane" of this mountainous metropolis. Opened in 1987, the 1,166-meter-long cableway connects Yuzhong District with Nan'an District, with a one-way trip taking approximately 4 minutes and 30 seconds. From within the cable car, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the surging Yangtze River and the multi-layered, surreal, 8D-like urban landscape of this "mountain city."
