Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven & Summer Palace Prviate Day Tour
Our exciting tour will start with a pick-up from your hotel at 8:00 AM, ready to explore the heart of Beijing.
Our tour begins at Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest public square and the symbol of Beijing. For 30 minutes, you will be immersed in its grandeur, the square can accommodate about one million people for public celebrations or gatherings. Looking around, you will see the Great Hall of the People to the west, the venue for the National People’s Congress. To the south, the Monument to the People’s Heroes and Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum are iconic buildings. To the east, the National Museum of China gives you a glimpse into the country’s rich history, where the exhibitions are like reading a concise history of China.
Next, we head to the Forbidden City, also known as the Forbidden City. This two-hour tour will take you through 500 years of history at the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palace complex in China. Built between 1406 and 1420, the Forbidden City has been burned, rebuilt, looted, and renovated many times. Most of the buildings you see today were built in the 18th century, giving you a glimpse of past glory.
Our journey continues to the Temple of Heaven, a sacred place where successive emperors prayed for peace and a good harvest. This sacred site, located south of Beijing, has been one of China’s most sacred places for more than five centuries. You will spend 1.5 hours exploring this sacrificial complex used by the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties, immersing yourself in its historical significance and architectural beauty.
Next, we will visit the Silk Factory, where you will have 40 minutes to admire traditional Chinese silk art. China is famous for its silk, which is highly prized for its luxurious look and feel. Here you can bargain for exquisite silk products and take home China’s rich textile heritage.
After a delicious lunch, we will head to the Summer Palace, one of the largest imperial gardens in China. This two-hour tour will take you through the garden, which was originally built as a royal retreat and temporary residence for the Qing emperors. The Summer Palace, formerly the Qingyi Garden, was built in 1750 and burned down by the British and French in 1860, presenting a unique blend of history and natural beauty.
Our journey ended with a return to the hotel, full of unforgettable memories of Beijing’s most iconic attractions.
