Located within the serene Da Ci’en Temple, this seven-story pagoda is a masterpiece of Tang-style architecture, characterized by its square base rather than a round one. Built in AD 652, it was originally constructed to house Buddhist sutras brought back from India by the renowned monk Xuan Zang. His legendary journey inspired one of the most famous works of Chinese literature, Journey to the West.

Afterward, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Muslim Quarter (Muslim Street). Located just behind the Drum Tower, about 430 meters west of the Bell Tower, this historic neighborhood has been a hub of culture and commerce for over 1,000 years.
