Frequently Asked Questions
Ideally, 8 to 10 days is perfect. This allows 3-4 days in Beijing, 2-3 days in Xi’an, and 2-3 days in Shanghai. If you are short on time, a rushed 6-day version is possible, but you might miss some hidden gems.
We highly recommend the high-speed train. It is punctual, comfortable, offers scenic views, and takes you from city center to city center. Beijing to Xi’an is ~4.5 hours, and Xi’an to Shanghai is ~6 hours. Flying often takes longer due to airport transfers and security.
Absolutely! Many travelers add Guilin for karst mountains, Chengdu for pandas, or Zhangjiajie for Avatar-inspired peaks. Since our tours are customized, we can easily extend your Golden Triangle trip to include these destinations.
Spring (April-May) and Autumn (September-October) are the best times, with mild temperatures and clear skies across all three cities. Summer can be very hot, especially in Xi’an, while winter offers fewer crowds but colder weather in the north.
