Common Questions
When is the best time to take a train tour?
China’s train network operates year-round. Spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) offer the most comfortable weather. Summer is peak tourist season; winter sees fewer crowds but some northern routes may have weather delays.
How early should I book my train tour?
We recommend booking 3-4 weeks in advance for standard tours, and 6+ weeks for peak seasons (Chinese New Year, Golden Week, summer holidays). High-speed train tickets can sell out, especially on popular routes.
Can I customize the itinerary?
Absolutely. Every tour we create is customized. Add extra days in a city you love, skip destinations that don’t interest you, or create an entirely new route. Our consultants work with you to build your perfect journey.
What’s the difference between standard and business class?
Business class offers wider seats (60cm vs 50cm), significantly more legroom, better meal service, and priority boarding. For journeys over 3 hours, business class transform the experience. Standard class is still comfortable but more basic.
Is train travel suitable for elderly or mobility-limited travelers?
Yes, high-speed trains have dedicated spaces for wheelchairs, and our staff assists with boarding. Stations have elevators. However, if walking long platforms is a concern, please discuss with us — we can arrange assistance.
