Mutianyu Great Wall and Temple of Heaven 1 Day Private Tour
Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby at 8:00 AM, ready to take you on an unforgettable adventure.
We will set off on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Mutianyu Great Wall. This section of the Great Wall is known for its picturesque setting and numerous watchtowers – a total of 22 watchtowers along the 1.4-mile stretch. The fortifications on both sides of the Great Wall include two inner and outer barriers with jagged battlements, allowing the defenders to fire at attackers from both sides. This unique fortification highlights the strategic military importance of the Great Wall. If you want to reach the highest point, the cable car is a great choice (optional).
Afterwards, we will enjoy a delicious traditional Chinese lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will return to Beijing. You will have 45 minutes to explore the traditional Chinese art of silk and feel the luxurious texture and long history of silk. Silk is a material discovered in China that is highly valued for its beauty and texture.
Next, we will visit the magnificent Temple of Heaven, the largest ancient royal sacrificial complex in the world. The Temple of Heaven was used for rituals to honor the heavenly realm and offers a glimpse into China’s rich cultural heritage. You will spend 1.5 hours exploring this colorful and historic site.
After a day filled with history, culture, and stunning views, we will drive you back to your hotel.
