Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your local guide holding your name in the airport arrival hall. If you are arriving by train, your guide will greet you at the train station exit.
Your guide will escort you to your hotel in a private car. Get some rest and get ready for your adventure the next day!

Guilin is beautiful at night and is a great place to relax after your flight. The “Two Rivers and Four Lakes” in the city center offer pleasant lakeside walks and nighttime boat rides.

The Longji Rice Terraces are a must-see when visiting Guilin. It is one of the most impressive man-made wonders in China and is built on a steep mountainside. From the top of the mountain, they look like the ribs of a dragon; hence the name “Dragon’s Back”.
Today, you will head to Dazhai Yao Village, one of the most beautiful areas around Guilin. Upon arrival, first enjoy lunch at a local farmer’s restaurant. You will have the opportunity to taste local delicacies such as bamboo tube rice (a typical dish of the local ethnic minorities) and some fresh local vegetables. After lunch, you can try to photograph the fields before hiking for about 2 or 3 hours to your hotel. You will photograph the marvelous terraces from all angles, dotted with local ethnic minority houses; it is especially spectacular in the fall when the harvest is ripe and golden.

Your hotel is the best one in the vicinity and is less than 10 minutes’ walk from the best sunrise shooting spot. Get up early (if the weather is good) to photograph the amazing sunrise over the terraces. After breakfast, walk through the fields and you can continue to photograph from different angles. In September and October, locals hang large amounts of red peppers and golden corn cobs under their roofs. The nearby Yao and Zhuang ethnic minority villages with their traditional wooden houses are not to be missed.
On the way, visit local ethnic minority families and taste local ethnic minority snacks, especially the Yao and Zhuang’s favorite: oil tea. In the humid mountainous areas, oil tea can quench thirst and treat rheumatism. You will see how oil tea is made and interact with local people who have lived there for generations.
After lunch, you will go down the mountain leaving Longji towards Yangshuo (about 4 hours drive), visiting Cuiping on the way. Cuiping Wuzhi Mountain is located 22 km north of Yangshuo, near Putao Town, and is a great place to take sunset photos. The climb takes about 20 minutes, from where you can take photos of karst peaks, some villages, many rice fields and a flowing river. It is a superb view that should not be missed even in bad weather.

You will wake up early and head to Xianggong Mountain, the best spot to photograph the sunrise over the Li River bend. Once you reach the top, you will have about 20 minutes to enjoy the Li River flowing around a right-angle bend with the sun rising in the background (top photo of this tour).
After leaving Xianggong Mountain, you will visit Fuli Bridge, which is over 600 years old. This is a special attraction that is not well known to tourists and is located in the upper reaches of the Yulong River. You can take some photos of the bridge crossing the Yulong River, surrounded by Guilin’s unique karst hills.
Afterwards, rest and take a bamboo raft ride. The bamboo raft drifts from Jinlong Bridge to Jiuxian Village for about 1.5 to 2 hours. The bamboo raft trip on the Yulong River is both idyllic and therapeutic; watching the rice fields and water buffaloes glide by, listening to the birds singing, and enjoying the cool breeze makes it all worth it.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Yangshuo.
In the afternoon, you will drive to Xingping Ancient Town to photograph another highlight of the Guilin area: the Li River fisherman, who drives his bamboo boat with his unique gas lamp, shining in the rosy sunset (fingers crossed for good weather). You will fall in love with this fisherman, who strikes a variety of different yet natural poses. Your guide will ensure that you get the best photos of the fisherman and the river.

Continue to collect sunrise photos or misty morning photos around the Li River. You will be transferred to Xingping Pier. Take the ferry to the nearby sunrise viewpoint to enjoy the beautiful, peaceful river and take some great photos of the sunrise. This section is the most spectacular section on the river and includes views of the entire Li River.
The next stop is Xiping Ancient Town, an old town that developed from a fishing village and still retains the architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Your guide will take you to the other side of the hill to take photos of the sunset and the view of Xianggong Mountain. Standing there, you will see the entire Xianggong Mountain from a different angle than usual.
