DAY 1:Dali to Liuku (245 km, 4½ hours)

Enjoy the private vehicle transfer and the scenery along the way.

Try a special local dish: the delicious, well-prepared ingredients will be served on a wide and shallow woven-bamboo basketand your hand will be your chopsticks.

DAY 2:Liuku to Laomudeng (100 km 2 hours)

Drive from Liuku to Laomudeng. Visit Laomudeng Church and travel back to 50 years ago during China’s Culture Revolution period in an abandoned village. See the “City of Memory” in Zhiziluo town.

DAY 3:Laomudeng to Bingzhongluo (206 km, 5 hours)

Drive from Fugong to Bingzhongluo. Overlook the Stone Moon on the mountain. Be impressed by “the first bend of the Nu Jiang”.

DAY 4:Bingzhongluo

Visit Chongding Catholic Church and Puhua Tibetan Buddhism Temple. Explore Qiunatong village,Zhanatong village, and Wuli village. Enjoy moderate hiking (6 km total) in the villages.

DAY 5:Bingzhongluo to liuku (300 km, 7 hours)

Drive from Bingzhongluo to Liuku. Enjoy the scenery along the gorge. Fly across a running river — local people use a cable and pulleys to cross the river.

DAY 6:Liuku to Tengchong (202 km, 4 hours)

Drive from Liuku to Tengchong. In Tengchong Hot Spring Scenic Area, you could boil an egg in the hot spring. You can also enjoy therapeutic hot spring bathing. Enjoy the scenery around the spring, as we finish the day at Heshun Old Town.

DAY 7:Tengchong

Explore a combination of traditional culture and modern art at Handmade Paper Museum at Gaoligong Mountain. The village-style museum is immersed in a rape flower sea. Taking a breath-taking bamboo rafting ride on the Longchuan River, you can see majestic scenery and quiet villages along the river.

Liuku (Local Dish Experience)
Liuku is a charming town where you will have the opportunity to try a special local dish that showcases Yunnan’s culinary uniqueness. The ingredients, fresh and carefully prepared, are served on a wide, shallow woven-bamboo basket, and you’ll be invited to eat with your hands — a true immersion in local dining traditions.

Laomudeng (Laomudeng Church & “City of Memory”)
Traveling from Liuku to Laomudeng, you will encounter Laomudeng Church, a quaint and historical site that offers a glimpse into the region’s Christian heritage. You will also visit an abandoned village, frozen in time since China’s Cultural Revolution, and step into the “City of Memory” in Zhiziluo town, a place where the past lingers in its architecture and silent streets.

Bingzhongluo (Stone Moon & First Bend of the Nu Jiang)
Bingzhongluo, an extraordinary village in the Nujiang Gorge, offers a stunning view of the Stone Moon, a natural rock formation perched on the mountain. This area is also home to the famous First Bend of the Nu Jiang River, where the mighty river turns sharply around a mountain. The breathtaking views make this a must-see spot in the region.

Chongding Catholic Church & Puhua Tibetan Buddhism Temple
While in Bingzhongluo, take time to visit the Chongding Catholic Church and the Puhua Tibetan Buddhism Temple, which showcase the blend of Christian and Tibetan influences in the region. The contrast between the two temples offers a unique insight into the area’s diverse spiritual life.

Qiunatong, Zhanatong, and Wuli Villages
