Let’s go into the Daxinganling primeval forest, hug reindeers, play in the snow, live with the families in China’s coldest village, and feel their passion for simple and hard life.
Travel Itinerary
We offer flights from Beijing or Shanghai to Hailar. After we pick you up at the airport, you can arrange the rest of the day on your own.
Join fun snow activities on the grassland, including snowmobile riding, snow slides, skiing by dinghy, etc.
Enjoy the beautiful snow scenery at Ergun Wetland, visit the Wetland Museum, and taste Tieshan ice cream.
Overnight in Ergun City.
Experience the excitement of horseback riding on the vast grassland, walk into the pristine birch forest of Ergun, and feel the charm of the winter wonderland.
Visit a local Russian family, learn about their lives and customs, taste Russian snacks, and listen to them play traditional instruments.
Overnight in Genhe City.
You will have the opportunity to see China’s reindeer and walk with them in the deep forests of Greater Khingan Range.
Then, listen to the story of the Evenki people, the last reindeer tribe in China. In addition to being Santa Claus’ helpers, reindeer are also mysterious creatures in Mongolian folklore, and people believe that they can carry the souls of their deceased relatives. You can get close to the docile reindeer with a basket of fresh moss, pet them and feed them.
After experiencing reindeer life, head to the coldest village in China. Challenge yourself to eat hot pot on an outdoor ice table. Roast sweet potatoes and make dumplings on a traditional heated kang. Enjoy local ice and snow activities.
Overnight at a local villager’s home in Lengji Village.
With locals and English-speaking guides, embark on a brand new journey into the heart of the Greater Khingan Range forest and enjoy the original landscape of trees covered with frost. Then enjoy a unique barbecue in the snowy forest.
Overnight in Genhe City.
After breakfast, your guide and driver will accompany you to Hailar Airport to prepare for departure. We recommend booking an afternoon or evening flight. If there is only a morning flight, we recommend staying in Hailar the night before.

Walk into the coldest village in China and learn about the real life of the locals：
Taste the homemade food of the locals, enjoy an open-air hot pot on an ice table, and sleep on a traditional heated brick bed. Appreciate the wisdom and spirit of the only six remaining families in Lengji Village as they fight the extreme cold on a daily basis, with temperatures reaching -58°C (-72°F).
Experience the international charm of Northeast China：
Visit local Russian families, wear their clothes, learn about their lives and customs, taste Russian snacks, and listen to live performances of traditional Russian instruments.

- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.

- This is a small group tour with a fixed itinerary and guaranteed departures.
You will travel with other people (maximum of 12). - Smart casual dress and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- The tour guide may adjust the itinerary due to closure of the museums each Monday.
- At the conclusion of the tour, a transfer from your hotel to Hongqiao or Pudong Airport in Shanghai is available upon request at a surcharge.
- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.
