The three-day itinerary perfectly combines Xiamen’s must-see attractions with the world heritage site – Fujian Tulou. We have selected three Tulou groups, which are the essence of Fujian Tulou. You can avoid commercial gathering places and tourist crowds and experience the authentic life culture of Hakka and Minnan people. Not only can you appreciate the unique architecture, but you can also feel the Hakka spirit condensed in the architecture.
Travel Itinerary
After the flight lands at the airport, your guide will greet you with a warm smile at the arrival hall. Take a private car and driver to send you to the hotel. After checking in at the hotel, the tour guide will take you to see the scenery of Gulangyu Island, where there are many gardens, beaches and attractions such as Sunshine Beach, Pearl Bay, etc., which make people feel peaceful and beautiful.

Tianluokeng Tulou Group will be the first attraction you visit. It consists of four round Tulou and one square Tulou. It is one of the most magnificent and well-preserved Hakka fortresses. Your guide will give you a detailed introduction to the builders of these Tulou, how they were built, and their advantages. We will take you to a high place so that you can have a bird’s eye view of the entire Tulou Group. The Tulou Group includes Yuchang Tulou and Hekeng Tulou Group.
Finally, you can pick tea leaves in the local tea garden and learn to process tea leaves like the local Hakka tea farmers in Taxia Village. You can take your own tea home. You can also taste the black tea that has been made by local tea farmers.
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
Hongkeng Tulou Group covers most types of Tulou. There are about 100 Tulou of different sizes and styles in the narrow village. In addition to rectangular and round Tulou, there are also palace-style, villa-style Tulou, and the smallest round Tulou.
After lunch, you will be transferred to the airport or train station. Your private guide will make sure everything goes well before saying goodbye.

- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.

- This is a small group tour with a fixed itinerary and guaranteed departures.
You will travel with other people (maximum of 12). - Smart casual dress and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
- The tour guide may adjust the itinerary due to closure of the museums each Monday.
- At the conclusion of the tour, a transfer from your hotel to Hongqiao or Pudong Airport in Shanghai is available upon request at a surcharge.
- Stays at entering and exiting cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei) can be extended.
