We booked this tour to combine our kids’ winter break with our 10th wedding anniversary, and it exceeded every single expectation. Customization let us skip a couple of museum spots we weren’t interested in and add a day trip to Kunming’s Stone Forest, which ended up being my favorite part of the whole trip. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about Beijing’s long history and happy to answer all our kids’ endless questions. Our driver always had a warm, clean car ready for us, even on the coldest Harbin mornings. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we will definitely book again.

As a family of four with two teenagers, we were worried someone would end up bored, but this tour found the perfect balance of culture and adventure. We did a less touristy section of the Great Wall outside Beijing that was just challenging enough for our teens, and our guide let us take our time exploring instead of rushing us. The Harbin Ice slides and light shows were a huge hit with everyone, and our guide even brought extra hand warmers when we started to get too cold. We left already planning our next trip to China with this tour company.

Having a private guide and driver made this trip so much better than any group tour we’ve taken in the past. We could go at our own pace, stopping for snacks when the kids got hungry and staying longer at spots we enjoyed. The mix of Beijing culture and Harbin winter magic is unbeatable for a family trip.

We customized our itinerary to add a quick stop in Kunming for a couple of days of milder weather, and it fit seamlessly into the 8-day schedule. Our Beijing guide made the Forbidden City and Great Wall engaging for our 7 and 10 year olds, turning history lessons into fun games. Harbin Ice World was even more breathtaking than any photo we’d seen online, with glittering ice sculptures and fun slides the kids loved. Every detail from hotel bookings to warm coat rentals was handled for us, so we could just focus on enjoying time together as a family. This is easily the best organized family tour we’ve ever booked.

The private guide, driver, and pre-planned itinerary were all flawless, and we really appreciated how flexible the team was. I’m only giving 4 stars because we visited over Christmas New Year’s week, and every site was far more wonderful than we anticipated—this is just a peak season issue, not a problem with the tour itself. We still had an amazing time exploring Beijing’s palaces and wandering Harbin’s frozen Ice World.
