I was nervous about traveling to Tibet as a solo female traveler, but this small group tour made me feel completely safe the entire time. Our leader was attentive, checked in with everyone daily, and adjusted the pace when some of us needed a slower day. Lhasa’s cultural sites were even more awe-inspiring than I imagined, and the stop at Yamdroktso was the highlight of my entire three weeks in China. I’ve already recommended this tour to all my friends who are planning a trip to the region.

Our consultant Sunny from HelloChinaTrip was so helpful sorting out my Tibet permit months in advance, answering all my anxious questions about altitude. The itinerary flowed perfectly, with enough downtime in Lhasa to explore on our own after our guided days. The views of Yamdroktso took my breath away, it’s even more beautiful than photos.

As someone who hates big crowded tours, this max 15 guest small group was exactly what I wanted. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about Tibetan culture and religion, and explained everything clearly without rushing us through any of the sacred sites. All the accommodations were clean and comfortable, and the local food we tried along the way was delicious. I left feeling like I got a real taste of Tibetan life, not just a surface-level tourist experience.

Acclimatization in Lhasa was done so well that none of us in the group had bad altitude sickness. The drive out to see Everest and Yamdroktso was stunning, and our guide made sure we stopped every time we wanted to take photos. This tour is worth every penny for anyone looking to explore Tibet properly.

I can’t recommend this Tibet adventure enough to any traveler.

This was the trip of a lifetime I’ll never forget.

Everything about the tour organization was seamless, from the permits to the accommodation arrangements. We unfortunately got unlucky with unexpected cloudy weather when we reached Everest base camp, so we didn’t get the clear view of the peak we’d hoped for. Even so, every other part of the itinerary was incredible, and the small group size made traveling around so comfortable. I’d definitely book again just for a chance to see Everest on a clear day.

The small group size made everything so much more personal than I expected. Our guide knew all the best quiet spots around Lhasa and Yamdroktso that most big tours miss. The acclimatization days in Lhasa were perfectly planned to avoid altitude sickness.
