We had an absolutely lovely time exploring the minority villages and tasting local specialties across Lijiang, Kunming, and Xi'an. The only downside was unseasonably heavy rain the first three days that kept us from doing some of the outdoor walking portions we’d planned. Our guide still rearranged our itinerary perfectly to fit indoor cultural activities, so we didn’t lose much time.
