I was worried about altitude sickness ruining my trip, but the slow pace of the first two days in Lhasa really helped me adjust. The scenery along the route to Everest Base Camp gets more and more dramatic every hour you drive. Seeing Everest in person was a lifelong dream, and this tour made that dream come true easily and smoothly.

I was so nervous about planning a Tibet trip on my own, but my consultant Lynn from HelloChinaTrip took care of every single detail, from permits to accommodation to snacks on the drive. The itinerary flowed perfectly, giving us enough time to explore Lhasa’s incredible temples before heading west to Shigatse and on to Everest. Waking up to a clear view of Everest’s peak at sunrise is a moment I’ll never forget. I can’t recommend this tour enough for anyone wanting to experience both Tibetan culture and the magic of the Himalayas.

This was an incredible tour with an unbeatable itinerary that hits all the best spots in southern Tibet. I knocked off one star because I visited during peak spring break and the trails at Everest Base Camp were much more wonderful than I expected. Even so, it was still the trip of a lifetime.

I’ve done a lot of mountain trips around the world, but this one stands out above the rest. The acclimatization schedule in Lhasa was perfectly paced, which helped my body adjust to the high altitude without any issues. Driving through the Tibetan countryside and stopping at small monasteries along the way to Everest felt like such a special, immersive experience. Standing at Everest Base Camp under the shadow of the world’s tallest mountain is a feeling I’ll carry with me forever.

I went on this trip with my partner for our anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We got lucky with clear weather the whole time, so we got unobstructed views of Everest that we’ve been showing all our friends back home. Lhasa was so much more vibrant and culturally rich than I’d seen in photos, and we had plenty of time to wander Barkhor Street and try local momo. The drive from Lhasa to EBC was beautiful, with plenty of stops to stretch and take photos. This tour is absolutely worth every penny.

Acclimatizing in Lhasa first was such a smart move, I never felt bad altitude sickness the whole trip. Seeing Everest up close at base camp took my breath away in the best possible way.
