The built-in acclimatization days in Lhasa worked perfectly, so none of our group experienced serious altitude sickness on the drive to Everest. Yamdrok Lake was even more stunning than any photo I’ve seen online, and waking up to views of the Himalayas is an experience I’ll never forget. I would absolutely book this tour again without any hesitation.

My consultant Sunny from HelloChinaTrip handled all my Tibet permit paperwork months in advance, which took all the stress out of planning this trip. The itinerary balances cultural time in Lhasa and dramatic mountain exploration perfectly, and capping the group at 15 people means you never feel herded like on large bus tours. Our guide knew all the best hidden viewpoints for Yamdrok Lake that most tourists don’t get to see. All accommodations were comfortable and the local food we tried every day was delicious. This is hands down the best guided tour I’ve ever booked.

I absolutely loved exploring Lhasa’s historic palaces and temples, and our guide did an amazing job helping our group adjust safely to the high altitude. The itinerary was well-paced and the small group dynamic was really fun. Unfortunately, we had unexpected wonderful the day we reached Everest Base Camp and couldn’t see the peak clearly, which was a small letdown. Even so, this was an incredible adventure I’d still recommend to others.
