As someone who prefers off-the-beaten-path travel over crowded big-city tourist spots, this Guizhou tour checked every box for me. We got to attend a local tribe harvest festival that I would have never known about if I was traveling on my own, and got to try homemade traditional food that was far better than any restaurant I visited in larger Chinese cities. The 4- to 5-star hotels were a nice treat after long days of hiking and walking through mountain villages, never once did we have a complaint about our rooms or facilities. I’ll definitely be booking another culturally focused trip with this team again after how great this experience was.

I really enjoyed learning about the unique mountain tribe cultures and the curated itinerary felt very personal rather than rushed. All of the hotels were exactly as advertised, spacious and luxurious with great on-site amenities. I’m only giving 4 stars because we had unseasonably heavy rain the first three days that blocked our mountain views and forced a couple of outdoor village walks to be rescheduled. Even with that, it was still an unforgettable trip and I’d absolutely recommend it to other travelers.

The 4- to 5-star accommodations were perfectly clean and comfortable every night of the trip. I loved getting to learn about local indigenous traditions straight from community members, and the sweeping mountain scenery took my breath away.
