The quiet, picturesque vibe of Hongcun Village was my absolute favorite part of this tour. Yellow Mountain’s dramatic rocky peaks and cloud views are even more stunning in person than in photos. The whole trip was seamless from departure in Guangzhou to arrival back home, and I loved every minute.

The itinerary was perfectly paced: we had plenty of time to hike Yellow Mountain and wait for the famous sunrise, then two relaxed days wandering the cobblestone alleys and ink-wash landscapes of Xidi and Hongcun. The round-trip flights from Guangzhou were smooth and on schedule, and our local guide knew all the best off-the-beaten-path photo spots. This tour completely exceeded my expectations, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to explore this incredible part of China.

Every part of the tour was well-organized, from the flights to the local guide and comfortable accommodation. The only issue was that we visited during the May holiday, so all the popular trails at Yellow Mountain were much more wonderful than anticipated. We still got to see all the attractions we came for, but it was a little less peaceful than we hoped.

The round-trip flights from Guangzhou were on time and totally hassle-free. Yellow Mountain’s otherworldly sea of clouds views took my breath away, and Xidi and Hongcun’s preserved ancient architecture was so charming. This curated itinerary hits all of Anhui’s best highlights without feeling rushed.
