The 14-day itinerary is perfectly balanced between bustling city sights, ancient historic landmarks, and jaw-dropping natural scenery. Every day felt thoughtfully planned, with enough free time to wander and explore on our own when we wanted. I left already planning my next trip back to China!

I’ve been on dozens of group tours and this is easily the most well-organized, luxurious trip I’ve ever taken.

As someone who loves both history and nature, this tour hit every single note I wanted. We got plenty of unrushed time to explore the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, and the day we spent hiking through Zhangjiajie National Park left me completely speechless at every turn. The high-end hotels were comfortable, quiet, and had amazing amenities that felt like a true reward after a full day of sightseeing. The small group size made this so much more personal than a big crowded bus tour, and I’d book this exact trip again in a heartbeat.

I booked this trip through consultant Lynn at HelloChinaTrip, and she helped me adjust a few small details before I left that made the whole experience totally seamless. Getting to see the Great Wall in Beijing, Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, the jagged quartz peaks of Zhangjiajie, and the karst mountains of Guilin all in one well-planned trip was incredible. The small group size meant we never felt rushed, and all the transfers ran exactly on time. I can’t recommend this luxury tour enough for anyone who wants to see the best of China without the hassle of planning everything themselves.

We visited during a national public holiday, so all the major sites were much more wonderful than we anticipated, and two days in Zhangjiajie had heavy fog that blocked the iconic peak views. Everything else about the tour, from the gorgeous hotels to our incredibly knowledgeable guide, was completely flawless, so we still had a wonderful time.

The high-end hotels were every bit as nice as advertised, perfectly located after long days of exploring. Our guide knew all the best hidden spots to avoid crowds at Zhangjiajie, and the Guilin Li River cruise was absolutely magical.
